Work scheduled yet to be accomplished
Economic impact and community benefit analysis (RMS II format). This study could show how the trolley existence would bring $20,000,000 annually to Petaluma.
Historical and cultural integrated survey completion. This is designed to answer fully the Federal and State requirements to make the tracks, trolley and bridges eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
Purchase and or restoration of trolley rolling stock. Most top class trolley stock is purchased and restored by volunteers. (A beautiful example of one of Petalumas first trolleys is now part of the Western Railroad Museum.)
Transfer of easement and right of ways to allow track replacement.
Track, trestle, bridge and pole replacement in stages. Approved development which calls for tracks to be taken up also requires the development to replace the tracks.
First a storage area, then a location for trolley restoration and later a museum site which could also be a trolley barn. |
